    Responsibilities
    The Plant Automation Engineer is ultimately responsible for the effective operation of all automated equipment in the manufacturing facility. The Plant Automation Engineer will have direct interface with maintenance, engineering, operations & management. The Plant Automation Engineer is responsible to the Manufacturing Manager for the performance of all automation as well as required to investigate, develop, test and commission automation improvements throughout the manufacturing facility, and for the effective and efficient operation of equipment as directed by operations or management.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    These responsibilities cover all phases of maintenance through development & implementation of new ideas, from brainstorming and evaluating concepts through troubleshooting and support on the factory floor. This role requires attention to the big picture as well as the details that make a difference.
     
    Minimum Requirements
    • Four-year technical degree, BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent military qualifications and experience
    • Five to seven (5-7) years of machine control/automation design and programming experience, preferably on custom machines. Lab automation equipment experience is a plus. Experience with selection, configuration, and programming of PLC (e.g., AB Controllogix), PC (e.g., NI LabView), and embedded (e.g., Rabbit, Arduino) control systems.
    • Must live in Peoria or surrounding area
    • Valid driving license and an acceptable driving record
    • The legal right to work in the United States
